About the Event
Florio's stunning new range of Marsalas mapping the terroir of its monumental cellars will be shown for the first time in London at a Sneak preview (2PM - 4:00PM) with only limited places available. The exact location of each cask, measured in metres from the sea shore defines its unique style and characteristics, while the Angel's Share, the amount of Marsala lost to evaporation from the cask as the wines ages measured in percentage. Only the most distinct casks are selected and bottled for the Marsala New Geography Range.
Florio's Director Roberto Magnisi and Walter Speller Editor Italy at www.Jancisrobinson.com, will present the New Geography Range which shows how the location of each individual cask in Florio's historic cellar results in very different, distinct wines that have the capacity to age for decades, even centuries.
The Sneak Preview (2:00PM - 4:00PM) will also see the launch of Florio's Altogrado, an archaic prototype and the blueprint, which inspired the first English settlers to produce and export Marsala as far back as 1773.
Reservations for the Sneak Preview are limited so book your place now!
