About the Event

Sangiovese RESET is the UK platform for an exciting new generation of Sangiovese wines in an all-encompassing way. Top estates, both established as well as new ones, will participate in Sangiovese RESET, a full-day immersion in the variety, from every denomination growing this fickle grape, including Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Classico, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Romagna’s shooting star Modigliana and historic Predappo, as well as Montecucco, Val d’Orcia, Umbria and Marche.

This trade-only day-long event focuses on Sangiovese in its purest form or with a maximum of 20% of exclusively indigenous varieties where decreed by law, but without any international varieties that could dilute Sangiovese’s message of the terroir where it has been grown.

Four exciting seminars focus on the latest trends and developments in Sangiovese's major denomination's including:

Chianti Classico's hotly anticipated introduction of Unità Geografiche Aggiuntive (UGA), or village sub zones - essential for obtaining in-depth knowledge of its complex and diverse terroir. Led by Alessandro Masnaghetti, Italy's undisputed mapping expert, this seminar will see the launch of the first addition of the Chianti Classico Atlas by Masnaghetti

Donne In Quota- the first UK presentation of this small association of four women producing top class wine from high altitude vineyards in Chianti Classico with Susanna Grassi (I Fabbri), Sophie Conte (Podere Castellinuzza), Sofia Ruhne (Terreno) And Serena Coccia (Tregole)

• Introducing I Pievi, the new sub zones of di Vino Nobile di Montepulciano - 12 subzones demarcated along the centuries old Pievior parishes, each expressing their distinct terroir and characteristics

Romagna Sangiovese over a decade - a seminar in which the ageing capability of some of the region's finest Sangioveses will be investigated with vintages going back more than a d
